The most common Gradall Telehandler models that were manufactured are:

Gradall 524D-2S-3S Telehandler. This rough terrain forklift has a 5000 lb. lifting capacity with a 24 0r 32 foot reach. The machine has 4 wheel drive and rear pivot steering. It is designed for operating in very tight spaces. The rear wheels pivot 90 degrees, which offers the operator a very tight turning radius. It is trailerable since it weighs only 15m lbs. As with all the Gradall models it is equipped with unique rear pivot steering. Primary use for this telehandler is on a construction jobsite to deliver product to various levels of the building. Many times this machine serves as a feeder machine for the larger telehandlers on a jobsite. Other industries such as farming and the oil business also use these products. Because of its weight this machine has many other applications. Landscapers like this machine on large jobs for moving material from one location to another.

Gradall 534D9-45 Telehandler. This rough terrain forklift is the most popular of the Gradall line. It also has rear pivot 90 degree steering. This rough terrain forklift has a 9000 lb. lifting capacity with a 45 foot reach. It is designed for lifting traditional loads to the appropriate level of a construction jobsite. As with the other Gradall models, other non-construction related industries use these telehandler for a variety of applications.

Gradall 544D10-55 Telehandler. This machine is the largest produced in the Gradall line. It has a 10000 lb. lifting capacity and a 54 foot reach. This machine has two lifting capacities, one with the stabilizers employed and one with them retracted. It also has four wheel drive and rear pivot steering. It is designed to lift heavy product to the higher levels of a construction site.

The most common upgrades to these pieces of equipment are foam filled tires (prevents costly downtime due to tire punctures), and a side-tilt carriage, which allows the operator to land a load it the placement of the load requires a slight side-to-side adjustment. An enclosed cab with heat is also available for these telehandlers for use in colder climates.

A variety of forklift attachments can be purchased separately for these machines. The most common attachments are: work platforms, buckets in various sizes, truss booms, and jibs.
